Microbakery course

Microbakery course

£470.00

Are you ready to make your baking hobby into a business? Do you want to run your own bakery and produce real bread for your community?

Learn how to set up a micro bakery with a multi-award winning baker with years of experience.

Alexandra Vaughan has been running a Microbakery since 2016. She has completed considerable training, namely a Microbakery 12h course with the Bread Angels, a 5 days course with Richard Bertinet at his Cookery School in Bath and several other short baking courses, volunteered at bakeries across the UK and worked as lead baker in a small Artisanal bakery in West Yorkshire. She has been running The Crow’s Rest Bakehouse as her full time job since September 2019, from her terraced home in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Topics to cover can include:

  • Developing a business plan

  • Building a Bakery Business - the practicalities, processes, customers, finances, space and equipment.

  • Baking - with sourdough processes, commercial yeast, or gluten-free flours. Scaling up. Working formulas to fit your space and circumstances.

Classes can be arranged one-to-one, bespoke to your needs, or as part of a larger group.

They can combine online sessions with live ones, to allow for you to get the knowledge you need to start your own business even if you can’t be physically present in Wakefield.

Dates to be agreed to suit both parties. Get in touch.
